INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION
Keywords:
globalization, international terrorism, security, global societyAbstract
Globalization is a phenomenon that permeates the everyday life in all segments and which, with its presence in all parts of the world, presents one of the most important and fiercely contested phenomenon in the last two decades. It is a phenomenon which dramatically marks the spirit of the modern world, where it actually weakens the state and the upward trend today of terrorist activities, in a state as well as and abroad, is actually a consequence of that. Globalization, on the other hand, constantly leads to radical changes, turbulences and massive movements in global society, so that terrorist attacks on modern state represent a worsening global response to globalization as a social phenomenon which experiences its expansion during the 20th century. In this study will be analyzed one of the most widespread explored trends and development within the phenomenon of modern international terrorism, where it has evolved into an even bigger threat to security in correlation and coordinated action with globalization. Inadequate approach and understanding of the process of globalization itself, can implicate an expansion of terrorist activities, and accordingly the goal of this study is to link globalization and terrorism into an unbreakable bond as two social phenomena.
