INTERPOL AND GLOBAL TERRORISM

The fact is that nowadays coexisting fight against terrorism, especially international, is beyond the capacity of the police at the local level. The necessity of opposing the attacks on the vital values of the society led to the formation of a series of international police organizations, some of which will be in the paper, with special attention that is directed to the Interpol. The author of this study will clearly define the place and role of Interpol in the international police relations and multinational operations, as well as strengthening the cooperation between police of different countries, all with the aim of increasing productivity and efficiency in the field of combating terrorism. The author will also reflect on phenomenological characteristics of modern terrorism and present the Interpol’s strategy regarding combating this global security problem. The involvement of Interpol as the most influential and effective international professional police organization through the implenetnation of their police instruments is of essential significance for countering terrorism at the international level.
