Keywords:
Europe, history, twentieth century, domination, imperialism, geopoliticsAbstract
In thiswork we will analyze two parallel streams of events that changed the essential position of Europe from the beginning of the twentieth century, civilization and cultural domination based on the Christian cultural and value matrix to the gradual and longlasting phase of decay of that power and the acquisition of a position of complete continental powerlessness in front of his supposed Atlantic geopolitical and civilizational friend. After World War II these flows would be accelerated until the formation of the EU's Atlantic project as a means of exploiting and controlling its titles of European allies. They will go along the projected direction until the humiliating capitulation of European nations before the Atlanticist Leviathan, which emerged at the end of the twentieth century was achieved. The marked observation processes were especially characteristic of the so-called space. Western Europe and its leading powers because the rest of Europe's political and national configuration did not fit into marked continental domination for a while.
