Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze features of the main campaigns in the 2019 European parliamentary elections, which were created by the sovereign and proEuropean front. The subject of the research includes thematic frameworks and dominant narratives of the European political parties and parliamentary groups’ campaigns. The survey sample consists of the official election manifests and resolutions of the parties published on their websites, as well as media announcements, letters of party leaders and interviews with spitzenkandidates. The characteristic marketing strategies of two opposing informal blocks have been identified.
