Abstract

In this paper, the author attempts to examine the politics of conditionality of the European Union to Serbia after the 2000th. The six basic examples show that in front of Serbia were placed demands and conditions that were not placed in front of the other candidates. The author displays and defends the thesis that the enlargement is not used to adjust Serbia to Copenhagen criteria, but to complete geopolitical recomposition of the Balkans which Serbia did not accept in the nineties. Thus Serbia's European integration are not defined by the prescribed normative criteria, but by the geopolitical interests of major Western powers.
