CRIME RELATED TO NEO-NAZI AND NEO-FASCIST SUBCULTURAL GROUPS IN VOJVODINA

This paper deals with the issues concerning neo-Nazi and neo-fascist subcultural groups on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The research focuses on the legal (criminal law specifically) and criminological aspects of their actions. In the first chapter, the historical background of Nazism and fascism in Vojvodina, as well as the possible reasons for their actualization in modern society were considered. Within the second chapter, selected examples of criminal acts registered in the criminal practice of several cities of Vojvodina are presented. The third part is dedicated to identification and analysis of the legal features of some of the characteristic crimes. In the final part, the author noticed regularities regarding the general patterns of formation and criminal activity of the mentioned groups, as well as regarding their specific local features. Among other conclusions, it was noticed that the crimes committed by members of neo-Nazi and neofascist groups are very diverse both by legal and criminological criteria. Within this heterogeneous crime sphere, the following criminal categories are represented: crimes against life and body, against the freedom and rights of man and citizen, crimes against honor and reputation, crimes against property, against general safety of people and property, crimes against constitutional order and security of the Republic of Serbia, crimes against public order and peace.
