FUNCTIONAL FOOD MARKET INSERBIA AND NEEDS OF PASSING LEGISLATION

Functional food is new trend in the diet, and refers to foods that in addition to its basic functions to meet the nutritional needs are secondary and, no less important function, to positively influence the health of a person, whether preventive certain disease or have a therapeutic character. With growing demand, specified categories of food the disincentives for market research, consumer and normative regulation of traffic. The link between food and health has been scientifically proven and significant. Market development and encouraging turnover of functional foods in profit are both manufacturers and consumers, as well as society as a whole. The market for functional food in Serbia is in development and can have a significant impact on production trends. The aim is to investigate the significant factors affecting the transport of functional foods, as well as to review how the legal framework could improve market trends.
