The subject of this paper is the abuse of Christianity in the ideology of the right-wing extremism. Modern right-wing extremism is an amorphous and variable phenomenon, which shows specific characteristics, depending on the place of appearance. It can occur in the form of neo-Nazism, neo-fascism, violent nationalism, etc. and it is distinguished by the specifics of the climate on which it has evolved. Violence and manipulative attitude towards religion makes this phenomena recognizable – and this is an excuse for various types of crimes.
By the comparative analysis, the author deals with the specifics of right-wing extremism (in the abuse of Christianity) in the world and in the Balkans, distinguishing as examples the most characteristic movements, organizations and groups. The conclusion is that Christian religion is used as a homogenizing, stimulating, but above all a justifying factor for the violence committed by extreme right-wingers.
