Abstract

The work primarily has the task of trying to answer the question of whether Socialist Yugoslavia was in the period from 1953-1974. one of the few countries that had a socio-economic national parliament. There will also be a few words about the short history of the idea of socio-economic bicameralism in Serbia that preceded its inclusion in constitutional and parliamentary life in a period of the existence of the second Yugoslavia. Of course, even this phenomenon can not be separated entirely from the then official ideological paradigm, but the aim of this paper will be to look at this constitutional and legal phenomenon from a broader context. This should enable us to look at it beyond the ideological frameworks and possibly come up with some new solutions that could improve the structure, and therefore the functioning of the modern Serbian parliament.
