Спорт представља друштвену појаву која око себе окупља више стотина милиона директних и индиректних учесника. Унутар тако великог броја људи заступљене су бројне политичке и религијске оријентације. Како је немали број спортских организација настајао управо на идејама верских и политичких лидера и група, временом су постајале и гласноговорници ових идеја. Данас, у добу глобалних политичких и верских подела и сукоба, ови гласноговорници све више добијају на значају. Циљ овог рада јесте да укаже на важност спорта као једног од главних пропагандних средстава који, као такав, бива коришћен у циљу ширења политичких и религијских схватања и идеја, али такође и да прикаже и опише начине путем којих долази до практичних манифестација овог односа.
