Овај рад ће се бавити питањем медијске цензуре у арапским земљама, односно оним националним државама у којима већинско становништво дели заједнички, арапски језик, где је ислам уставом озваничена државна религија и које су пре XX века и подела на националне државе, биле знане по релативно сличној, арапској култури. С обзиром да је цензура као појава, проблем и решење, заступљена на специфичан начин у овим земљама, аутор је изабрао баш њих, са циљем да проистекли нацрт буде на располагању за даља компаративна и друга истраживања из сродних области.
