ANARCHISM AS IDEOLOGICAL BASE OF MODERN (LEFTIST) TERRORISM

Abstract

While most scientific work regarding terrorism deals with defining, determination of concept and analysis of motivation, objectives, methods and tactics of terrorist groups, much fewer scientific papers have in their essence the theoretical stronghold as a starting point. In the base of this paper is anarchism with characteristics, attributes and postulation that help to understand better the conditions and causes which influence creation of modern terrorism as a complex form of political violence. Based on concrete ideological patterns that incite action, contemporary leftist terrorism is a serious threat and challenge in modern age. In that context, anarchism has crucial significance because, in addition to motivation, it provides legitimacy to terrorist acts in the eyes of the public.
