This paper discusses the impact of events with a cultural com-ponent on the destination. Besides promoting local pride in culture, events create a strong identity and the image of the local community, that is a destination branding. In addition, they can promote autochthonous national minorities, and leave numero-us positive or negative, economic, social, environmental, political and other effects and consequences on a destination. Furthermore, we explained what the stakeholders are, given the presentation of some typologies, and their role in the process of organizing and realizing events as well as stakeholders groups that are typical in cultural tourism.
