RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL AND HISTORICAL DIMENSION OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT

The Arab-Israeli conflict is a multidimensional phenomenon, set in the territory of modern day Israel. It peaked during the twentieth century, although the roots of the conflict originate at the start of the new era. The nature of the conflict has not shifted significantly with the new millennium. We have analyzed the conflict through the prism of the closely intertwined religious, political and historical dimensions. Noting the conflict's complexity as well as its durability, it is paramount that the issue is set in a broader context. The international community is a prominent factor for whose affection the conflicted sides have been competing for. In the second part of the paper we analyze the conflict's nature in the present time, as well as give projections on its future developments. Finally, we express our opinion on the topic, which is imbued by personal views, as well as the findings acquired by the research.
