Abstract

Although many factors affect environmental security, the subject of this paper will explore the types and intensity of influence that multinational companies have or may have on the ecological safety. For this purpose it will be, first, treated the concept of ecological security and problems of its endangerment, and then, the character and intensity of the influence that multinational companies are currently or potentially have on the ecological safety, reversible attitude of multinational companies and the process of globalization. The author tries to show the dual nature of the impact that multinational companies have in the field of environmental safety, explaining both positive and negative sides of the aforementioned influences.
