The main idea of the text is to demonstrate that it is possible to draw a relatively clear line between two visions of united Europe. One, for which we claim that is rational and could be achieved by the maintenance of the traditional role of national parliaments and their cooperation in dismantling unnecessary border barriers for free movement of people and capital. The other vision, that is today in full swing, is based on total homogenization and harmonization of all aspects of the life of EU citizens of. It is founded on the ideology of Europeism: the world view which insists that the nation state is an obsolete historical category and that we are witnessing emergence of the new European citizenship, founded on multiculturalism and new feelings of adherence. Its proponents are different elites - EU politicians, EU administrators and different interest groups. They are linked by pragmatic interest of maintenance of their own privileged positions and actions, that are beyond any democratic control. The text aims to expose that ideology of Europeism is being realized in practice as a system of improvisations of an untouchable elite, which uses supranational institutions to regulate and control 500 million people. That ambition is expensive, irrational, economically counterproductive, especially when applied in the small countries.
