Abstract

Destruction, deportation and brutal murderers during the Second World War additionally increased mistrust and misunderstanding, which had already existed between Serbs and Hungarians. Culmination of national hate caused the need for final showdown between the significant part of one, and fear of revenge among members of the other side of these two nations. Besides the fact that the Communist Party of Yugoslavia struggled for national equality in economic, political, social and cultural fields, it was not able to stay immune on national enthusiasm, which did not bypass other communist parties. In this paper we will try to show the relationship of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia towards the Hungarians in the first years after the Second World War.
