THE IMPACT OF MASS MEDIA ON CREATION OF CONSUMER MENTALITY AS A CAUSE OF INSOLVENCY OF THE INDIVIDUAL

The absolute definition of over-indebtedness can not be given, it is in direct relation with the subjects that create this indebtedness. The consequences that result from the indebtedness of a physical person are not only economic in nature, they are reflected in the impossibility of servicing their debts, but they also have a sociological and psychological aspect, resulting in the creation of new costs for the society as a whole. The authors aim to draw attention to the increasingly frequent problem of facing natural persons with the inability to settle their mature obligations, both consumers and entrepreneurs, which lead them to the edge of existence, loss of home, which together makes the questionable possibility of enjoying the constitution of the guaranteed right to dignity. Today, an individual is exposed to the significant influence of mass media that often form consumer behaviour that, after short-term satisfaction of current needs from future income, becomes an accumulated unregulated debt that burdens not only the economic aspect but the much deeper sociological-psychological aspect of the entire family of the insolvent individual.
