Abstract

Nowadays, when the media are more accessible to us than ever and when their impact is at its peak, the issue of committing criminal offenses through media is even more important. Numerous criminal offenses can be committed in this way (insult, reveling of official secret, scams, calling for a violent change of constitutional order). Criminal acts done through the media abound with different specificities and the consequences that result from it. Accordingly, in almost all criminal legislation special rules are prescribed for determining responsibility for the perpetrators of crimes committed through press or other means of public information. In this work, the authors will first deal with the issue of the media and their influence on modern society, after which the specifics related to the special rules on responsibility for crimes committed through the media will be analyzed. In other words, the circle of persons responsible for the commission of a criminal offense through press or other media will be analyzed.
