Abstract

In line with the strategy of cultural development and under the project of European Capital of Culture 2021, Novi Sad starts to build several objects /buildings/temporary buildings, and cultural and creative spaces. The model of development of these projects is currently in the middle of a professional and public debate. This paper presents an overview of the context, circumstances, procedures and remodelization of ,,Kinska četvrt'' as a future creative district, as well as several other cultural centers planned on /for various city locations. The knowledge obtained from these processes give us reason to look at alternative models of development based on the potential of the city. (describe what the potential of the city is) This alternative model is proposed as transitional or parallel to the existing ones.
