A REVIEW OF THE THEORY OF CYCLE OF VIOLENCE

Intimate partner violence currently is recognized as public health problem, serious and widespread phenomenon attaining considerable academic attention in the last few decades. There are several theories on intimate partner violence and victimization in the literature. This paper aims to discuss current scientific status of the Theory of cycle of violence, as one of the most prominent theories in this area, i.e. its efficiency and the scope in elaborating partner violence and partner violence victimization.
