Abstract

Under the crime means the totality of the criminal activity in a given area. It is a phenomenon that is typical of social deviation, which threaten the general human values and civilizational achievements. Crime is very old and complex phenomenon, which in its complexity can not be exclusive, but must be treated and considered through the prism of philosophical, sociological, economic, psychological and legal aspects. Throughout history, the media always shown great interest in crime, offenders, and for justice as a value and principle for punishment as a means to protect society, public interest and the good, which has the purpose of repairing the physical perpetrator of a criminal offense. In recent years, the media have an important role in informing society members of criminal events which may affect them directly or indirectly. From the way of public perception, and the resulting social "structures of crime", and thus the social reaction to this anti-social phenomenon. In recent years, about relations between mass media and crime deals with "cultural criminology." Cultural criminology at the very beginning of its development was the focus on media analysis. This hybrid branch of criminology also draws on the tradition of ethnographic studies, which allows the researcher to monitor the dynamics of cause and effect connections between crime, culture and subculture.
